Caring for developmentally disabled individuals require professional skills. Our RN Trainer on duty must be responsible for the overall wellness of the patient.
Trainers are required to teach DSPS, qualified, certified, and authorized to safely administer medications to people with developmental disabilities.
- They must learn about the safety factors affecting the administration of medications to specific individuals.
- They must learn the correct and safe procedure for administering medications in order to minimize risks and errors.
- They must be able to know and report medication-related observations and errors to the Nurse-Trainer.
